Election news from the Feb. 10 special election was mostly positive for school districts across Washington. The vast majority of school measures on the ballot across the Washington were passing as of early Wednesday morning, according to data provided by OSPI. School bond measures fared rather poorly, with only 5 of 13 measures currently reaching 60% voter approval.
A handful of Educational Programs & Operation (EP&O) levies were currently trailing in election returns for several PSE-represented school districts, along with the amount of local funds that would have been generated from levy measures:
Battle Ground ($189.5 million) Status: currently trailing by 669 votes
Centralia ($22.9 million) Status: currently trailing by 110 votes
Kittitas failing ($7.6 million) Status: currently trailing by 33 votes
Monroe Prop 2 ($100.1 million) Status: currently trailing by 101 votes
North Kitsap ($89.3 million) Status: currently trailing by 190 votes
Pasco ($153.7 million) Status: currently trailing by 272 votes
Sedro-Woolley ($66.3 million) Status: currently trailing by 15 votes
