Community Rules & Etiquette and Privacy Guidelines
Thank you for being part of our community. To ensure the best possible experience for all members, we have established some basic guidelines for participation.
By joining and using this community, you agree that you have read and will follow these rules and guidelines. You also agree to reserve discussions and shared files and content to topics best suited to this medium. This is a great space to seek advice from your peers, share your experiences, and participate in an ongoing conversation. Questions should be directed to our member services department via the Contact Us link on this site.
Please take a moment to review these important guidelines. To maintain an environment that encourages both civil, productive dialogue, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate community access for anyone who violates these rules.
The Rules
· No defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal content. Do not post anything that you would not want the world to see or that could negatively reflect on you or this community.
· Prohibition Against Union Busting. This community exists to support and empower union members. Any activity, messaging, or behavior that seeks to undermine, discourage, disrupt, or interfere with lawful union activities — including promoting union decertification, discouraging membership, or spreading misinformation about union rights — is prohibited. Violations may result in immediate removal from the community.
· Post thoughtfully. Share your message or documents only to the most appropriate communities to ensure your content receives the best response and reduces unnecessary "noise."
· Respect intellectual property. Post only content that you have personally created or have permission to use. Properly credit all content creators. Indicate if any shared materials are not available for reuse.
· Respect others. Focus on the content of posts, not the individuals making them. Extend the benefit of the doubt to new members -there is no such thing as a silly question.
· Respect the purpose of the community. Use this space to share successes, challenges, constructive feedback, questions, and goals not to advertise products or services. If you have found a helpful resource, feel free to share your experience respectfully.
· Use caution when discussing products. Content posted in discussion and libraries are visible for all and subject to libel, slander, and antitrust laws.
Discussion Group Etiquette
- Cleary state your topic in the subject line to allow others to respond appropriately and easily find discussions later.
- Send personal responses (such as “thanks” or "me, too") directly to individuals, not to the entire group. Use the “Reply to Sender’ option.
- Manage your setting through the website. Do not send administrative messages (such as ‘unsubscribe me’) to the group. Update your preference directly through your account settings.
